Rv toilet keeps filling up

It may be stuck or need to be replaced. Replacing the water valve is a simple fix you can do yourself. Fortunately, a running RV toilet is a pretty easy fix even if you aren’t that “handy”. Unfortunately, a running RV toilet might cause you more issues if left unchecked since your toilet bowl may overflow.


Can You flush a toilet with a RV?

Why does my toilet tank keep filling up? Why is my toilet flapper not working? How do you remove the plastic surround from a toilet? Flush the toilet to drain the water out of the tank.


Look at the flapper valve. If it is chippe rough, uneven or misshapen, then it is damaged and not sealing properly. Alternatively, pour food colouring into the tank while it is full.

Most likely the water valve will have to be replaced again. One other thing to check is to see if your toilet has a vacuum breaker. If it does have a vacuum breaker it may be stuck and allowing the water to run. Most vacuum breakers are white or black that have a large cap on them from the body, they are plastic. Here is a tip to prevent blockage of a toilet : Keep your black water valve closed while hooked up and dump only when tank is almost full, never use your toilet with the valve open, because the solids heap up underneath the toilet and eventually block it.

Fill the black tank with water through the toilet. Then add lots of water and all is well. The first thing to check is the flush lever. It is also the easiest problem to fix.


Remove the lid of the tank and locate the flush lever.

The most common and prevalent reasons of toilet filling with water are as follows: Something is stuck up into your toilet The most common reason for toilet bowl slowly loses water may be that something is stuck up in your toilet bowl that cause water filling and flushing slowly. As a result, you will see that toilet water rises before going down. By doing this, you prevent water from spilling onto the bathroom floor when you remove the fill valve.


You should then add ice to fill the rest of the toilet. After that, flush the ice down the toilet. You can then drive your RV around.


Step – If you have shut off the water supply line, then turn on water and look inside the tank. Determine if the water level is rising so high it is draining into the overflow pipe.
