Explain the concept of change

What is the change management concept? What are the different types of change? How to use change concepts? These concepts are at play during every phase of the Prosci 3-Phase Process and every milestone of the Prosci ADKAR Model.


When it comes to organizational change , change management itself is the most essential concept to understand.

It refers to organize structured process of enacting changes to organizations. THE CONCEPT OF CHANGE. Whatever the particular relations that come to be emphasized in the explanation of the fact of change , unless there had been in experience a changing order of perceptions, the necessary motive to scientific effort would have been wanting. Understanding change management is essential for successful information systems development and implementation in the 21st century.


In this assignment work I would like to present the features and concepts of change management and the effect caused in an organisation in the 21st century. A change concept is a general notion or approach to change that has been found to be useful in developing specific ideas for changes that lead to improvement. Creatively combining these change concepts with knowledge about specific subjects can help generate ideas for tests of change.

After generating ideas, run Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles to test a change or group of changes on a small scale to see if they result in improvement. Introduction Philosophically thinking, change is the only constant in the world. Same as for anything else, this is true for business organizations as well. Change management is the process, tools and techniques to manage the people side of change to achieve the required business outcome.


Change management incorporates the organizational tools that can be utilized to help individuals make successful personal transitions resulting in the adoption and realization of change. Many change management models and processes are based with their roots in grief studies. As consultants saw a correlation between grieving from health-related issues and grieving among employees in an organization due to loss of jobs and departments, many early change models captured the full range of human emotions as employees mourned job-related transitions. The term change refers to any alteration which occurs in the overall work environment of an organization.

Organizations that handle change well thrive, whilst those that do not may struggle to survive. The concept of change management is a familiar one in most businesses today. When the concepts are elaborated into generalisations, they become conceptual understandings.
