Pregnancy travel blog

In most cases, pregnant women can travel safely , even to exotic destinations. Pregnancy Month 5: I’m to publish this post and find no category for it. Life is set to change forever. Travelling with the locals?


One of the greatest journeys, perhaps the greatest ever, has begun.

What are the best pregnancy blogs? Can pregnant women travel in first trimester? When to travel while pregnant? In this blog post, I wanna provide some travel ideas for pregnant women. While the first checks at the doctor will give the answer to that, and if everything seems to be okay with the pregnancy , the second thought might be - what travel destinations are suitable for a pregnant woman?


Uncomplicated … it is perfectly safe to travel in pregnancy as long as there are no issues. If there are any complications it is imperative to discuss and agree with your doctor about your travel arrangements.

Pre-existing complications could invalidate travel insurance. Pregnant women are particularly susceptible to malaria. This is a very serious condition, which in pregnant women is associated with miscarriage, premature delivery , low birth weight and can be fatal for both a mother and her baby. If possible, you should avoid travelling to Malaria risk areas if you are pregnant.


So, many women find the best time to travel or take a holiday is in mid-pregnancy , between and months. Risks of long-distance travel during pregnancy. Long periods of not moving during car , bus, rail and air travel increases the risk of clots forming in the deep veins of the leg, known as deep vein thrombosis (DVT). These clots can circulate and lodge in parts of the body such as the lungs.

I’m a firm believer that if you feel well then you should make the most of your final baby-free months and travel as much as you can.

I couldn’t care less about pregnancy stories but since discovering I am with child I’ve been devouring vlogs, blogs , books and tales from other mums like a crazy woman.
